Our psychology department is based on a pioneering scientific approach to understanding the biological, psychological and social structures at the root of human behaviour. Our mission is to educate students who have knowledge about different sub-fields of psychology in the light of scientific methods, have research and critical thinking skills, adhere to ethical principles, continue lifelong learning and serve their country and humanity.
Vision
The Department of Psychology’s vision is to make a valuable contribution to psychology through the provision of high-quality education, with the aim of offering students a strong professional future on national and international platforms.
The objective is to educate individuals capable of benefiting and serving society at local, national, and global levels. To this end, we aim to provide undergraduate students with a comprehensive and robust foundation in psychology, including the introduction to various subfields of psychology and training in research methodologies. The goal is to produce well-rounded, highly skilled individuals equipped with the knowledge and expertise to contribute meaningfully to their communities and to make significant contributions in their respective fields.
In addition to the scientific content in the classroom and laboratory, it is aimed to provide students with active, interactive, applied learning experiences that lead to the development of data analytical skills, critical thinking skills, information literacy, and oral and written communication skills about the field of psychology, so that students will be active individuals in the field who contribute to society as individuals who have gained the necessary personal and professional skills about the basic theories and practices of psychology after graduation.
